Alpine Insurance is invested in sustainability throughout our entire business operation. We are at the forefront of utilizing conservation measures such as paperless document options including mobile app based solutions to in-office recycling programs. We have automatic thermostat set points to save energy and utilize LED lighting in all our offices province wide.
At alpine Insurance, we understand that our responsibility to Albertans spans beyond our clients. We believe in being active in our community to make sure the footprint we are leaving is bigger than we are as individuals. These are a few of the organizations that we and our staff have chosen to support:
- Red Deer Special Olympics
- Autism Asperger’s Friendship Society
- Children’s Hospital Activity Book
- Food Banks Across the province of Alberta
- Brown Bagging for Kids lunch program.
- SOS School Safety Magazines
- Calgary Herald Christmas Fund
Organizations We Support
Alberta Alpine Ski Association
Effective June 2012, Alpine Insurance entered into a new partnership with Alberta Alpine. More than 1,400 children aged 4 -11 from across Alberta will have the opportunity to learn and foster a love for alpine ski racing thanks to the three-year agreement signed between Alpine Insurance and Alberta Alpine.
“Inspiring our young skiers to achieve their highest potential depends heavily on partners who sponsor their dreams. One of those sponsors; Alpine Insurance, has not only sustained a longstanding commitment to our athletes’ futures, but has bolstered sponsorship of Alberta programs significantly as title of the Alberta Cup FIS Series, Nancy Greene Series, and of the Alberta Ski Team.”
Nigel Loring, President Alberta Alpine Ski Association
Alberta World Cup Academy
The Alberta World Cup Academy, Canada’s premier high performance training centre, is thrilled to welcome Alpine Insurance into its Nordic ski family as a title sponsor for the 2017/2018 season. The partnership represents the next step in a longstanding and mutually beneficial relationship.
Alpine Insurance has a rich history of supporting amateur athletics in Alberta, while the AWCA has a trusted track record in training Canada’s future cross-country skiers as they develop into future Olympians.
“We’re thrilled Alpine Insurance has agreed to join the Academy team in developing Canada’s next generation of cross country ski champions. Alpine Insurance is an ideal partner for us and we sincerely appreciate their support.”
Norbert Meier, Alberta World Cup Society President.
Children’s Hospital Activity Book
In 2012, we extended our Alberta community involvement to work in Northern and Southern Alberta with the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton and the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. The Hospital Activity Book for Children is used as an invaluable tool for the professionals who care for our children.
The books are designed for children ages 4 to 12 who are in hospital or currently going through medical treatment. An Advisory Panel, which includes Child Life Specialists from these organizations, ensure the activities are fun for the children but are also designed specifically for these professionals to communicate with children about their thoughts, fears and feelings. These activities range from simple dot to dot colouring to more advanced puzzles.
The Hospital Activity Book for Children is provided free of charge to the children and professionals via the support of businesses within the community.
